I saw a Chinese mom tonight on the subway

… that did nothing but criticize the fuck out of her kids.  To her 7-year-old daughter, she kept saying that the long paragraph that she wrote needs to be in multiple paragraphs and that she was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! and very, “very stupid”… and to do it the right way.  Her 5-year-old son was doing his homework, and generally trying to speak up, and was being resistant.  He kept trying to tell his mother to “stop” and ease up, she just KEPT RIGHT ON GOING, HOLY SHIT.

She was so conniving and annoying even I wanted to slap her and I normally have pretty decent patience when it comes to trying to understand cultural nuances.  But, with this particular circumstance, I almost whipped out my cellphone camera and videotaped it on the downlow from across the way… it was SO obnoxious.

Asian people, please don’t continue to do this to your kids.  It is ridiculous.  THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CORNELL.  AND, IF THEY GO TO CORNELL, THEY WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR HARVARD OR YALE AND COMMIT SUICIDE.

Just saying.  They could be smart, and maybe think for themselves once in a while instead of being perfect, or — they could be fucking dead because they’ll never be good enough.
