I had the opportunity to head to a karaoke joint last night with a couple of friends in Manhattan and the rules were not to pick anything you already knew.  It actually was a total blast because I got to see how well I knew these songs (some if which are surprising and have very good karaoke versions that aren’t sequenced like suck). 

The joint had an impressive selection of old and new stuff — maybe 20K songs in the book, and I got to add some songs under my belt.  So, amazingly?  The accompanying video actually sort of made sense for the song content.  THAT NEVER HAPPENS.  EVER.

One minor correction to this mix: Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga” should be swapped with “The Rhythm is Gonna Get You” but I couldn’t find that song in the 8Tracks network.

Will be definitely going back there again.
