I lived in Cleveland, Ohio for a really short time in 2002. While I was there, I had the honor of meeting and acquainting myself with Derek Hess, one of my favorite artists.
I’ve done a cross-country move since then and cannot of the life of me find this poster, which at one time, was the only thing I had up on my room’s walls. It often reminds me of that very summer spent in Cleveland — that was the last time I sat outside and held out a jar to capture fireflies, for no other reason other than to do it.
