I end up seeing very few mixed media pieces in photography lately. Mixed media was totally my chosen photography medium, a la Jerry Uelsmann. If I told you about my special processing techniques, however, I would have to shoot you though. (No pun intended.)

I have an ex-boyfriend that is currently gay. When we back in college together, we both had unrequited crushes on each other for two years straight. (No pun intended there, really!) When we both finally came clean with each other after graduating, he confessed to me that during that whole time, he used to talk about a girl that he liked with our common friends, but that no one was allowed to know who it was. That girl’s secret codename was “Carnival.”
A week after we had graduated college and he told me he was moving to Virginia, he told me that my secret codename was “Carnival” because I made his life whimsical and fun.
Aw. Anyway, a cute tidbit I thought I’d mention. He is still one of my closest friends in the world, and I still love him to pieces.
